Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru
Pick up from hotel in the morning and depart Nairobi to Nakuru. Lake Nakuru National Park is 160 kms from Nairobi and 2 hours and a half. It is a Ramsey site and home to thousands of different bird species. The 188sq km lake is a fully enclosed bird sanctuary administered by Kenya Wildlife Service The park is home to highly protected black and white rhino, flamingoes, lions among other numerous wildlife and birdlife species. Arrive lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive.Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara
After breakfast depart for Maasai Mara, one of East Africa’s most famous reserves, The Mara consists of undulating hills and great rolling grasslands that sustain some of the most varied wildlife in Africa, if not the world. Be prepared for a bumpy ride. Arrive in time for lunch at lodge. Afternoon game viewing, in search of lion, elephant, cheetah, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest, gazelle and other plains game abound, not forgetting the hundreds of species of birds. Dinner and overnight stay at Azure Mara Haven.
Day 3: Maasai Mara Full day
After breakfast leave for full day game drive with our picnic lunch. Masai Mara adjoins the Serengeti forming one ecosystem. The open savannah grassland is home to numerous wildlife species including the Elephant, Rhino, Leopard, Buffalo, Cheetah, Lion and other plains game not forgetting the hundreds of species of birds. Dinner and overnight stay at Azure Mara Haven.
Day 4: Masai Mara to Serengeti
Early morning breakfast at lodge check out with packed picnic lunch and drive to Isebania Kenya- Tanzania border for immigration procedures. The drive is approximately 4 and half hours. After Visa processing proceed to Serengeti. You will be with our driver guide from Tanzania arriving Serengeti with game drive en route to your camp. The drive is approximately 3 hours. Dinner and overnight at Ole Serai Luxury Camp (Turner Springs)
Day 5: Serengeti
Early morning breakfast then leave with packed lunch for a full day game drives. The park is the finest in Tanzania were you will spot the big cats, large herds of Buffaloes, Elephants, Giraffes, Antelopes, Topi, Grants gazelle. You may spot the big cats enjoying a kill. This is the time for the famous Wildebeest migration and you may see endless streams of wildebeest and zebras pour north towards Masai Mara. Dinner and overnight at Ole Serai Luxury Camp (Turner Springs)
Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro
Early breakfast then depart to Ngorongoro with game drive en route. A stop at Olduvai Gorge an important prehistoric site in the world and learn about human evolution. Have our packed lunch en route. Dinner and overnight at NgorongoroOldeani Mountain Lodge.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater
After early morning breakfast check out and leave the lodge with picnic lunch for the crater tour. Ngorongoro Crater often called Africa’s Eden and a world heritage site is a huge volcanic caldera that hosts a great ecosystem ideal for survival and preservation of a large diversity of animals. The crater is 600m deep to the bottom with a diameter of 20 km filled with water pools and rich diversity of wildlife. After your wonderful experience at the crater drive to Arusha for dinner and overnight at Kibo Palace Hotel
Day 8: Arusha - Zanzibar
After breakfast depart to Arushaairport for your flight to Zanzibar. You will be met and transferred to your hotel.After lunch spend the afternoon exploring the century old historical, cultural and architectural importance of the town. A visit to the town market, former slave market site where an Anglican church was built in 1871, memorial museum and the house of wonder (beit-Al-Ajab) that was built in 1883. Later visit the old Arab port the palace museum, the old dispensary and Maruhuri Palace ruins. Dinner and overnight at Tembo House hotel.
Day 9: Zanzibar
After breakfast depart for the kizimkazi dolphin tour. Swim with dolphins as you get a natural massage in the ocean. In the afternoon drive to Jozani forest home to the endangered red Columbus monkeys. Explore the natural and mangrove forests for its different fauna. Lastly pass through Zala Park founded to help appreciate the value of wildlife. Return to town for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Zanzibar
Breakfast then depart for spice and botanical tour, where you will see the spice plantations and a variety of spices used as medicine, ornament, flowers and fruits. Later visit Kidichi bath built in the 1850 by the first sultan for his wife Shehazad, the granddaughter of Fateh Ali Shah of Persia. Return to hotel for afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 11: Zanzibar Airport
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight/ onward flight back home.
