Overview

Samburu National Reserve is located in Kenya’s arid northern frontier on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. The reserve offers great landscape views including the great table, Mt. Ololokwe. It’s a thrill to see the special five unique to northern Kenya – Beisy Oryx, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and Gravy Zebra including the leopard, cheetah, lion among other wildlife and rich birdlife.

Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu

Pick up from your hotel and depart Nairobi and drive north to Samburu Game Reserve passing through rich agricultural areas of Mt. Kenya arriving in time for lunch. After lunch proceed for afternoon game drive. Return to camp before sunset for dinner and overnight at camp or lodge.

Day 2: Samburu

Early morning game driveas it’s the best time to watch animals and birds feeding, with possible sights of the big cats having a meal from a kill. Return to camp/lodge for breakfast, leave for another game drive. Return to the camp for lunch. Rest then go for late afternoon game drive. Return before dusk for dinner and overnight at lodge.

Day 3: Samburu – Nairobi

Final day in Samburu National Reserve, you can choose to have an early morning drive or sleep in. After breakfast depart for Nairobi with game drive enroute, arriving Nairobi early afternoon. Lunch at the world famous Carnivore Restaurant or other at own cost. Drop off at your hotel or airport.
